Day 1 - Arrive at Amman

This morning, you will be driven north to Jerash, known as Gerasa in ancient times. It consists of a dramatic oval forum, colonnaded main streets with drains remarkably still intact, two theatres and the impressive temple of Zeus. In the evening return to Amman.
Today head to 'wadis' (valleys). There are several stops of interest en route that includes Madaba, known as the city of the mosaics, Mt Nebo and Kerak, which is a magnificent fortified town. Continuing south, reach Petra - Jordan's premier historic site and one of the world's most outstanding ancient cities.
You will have full days to explore Petra, the 'Rose-red city, half as old as time'. To enter Petra you must begin by walking down a narrow chasm, known as the Siq, surrounded by high cliffs on either side. The rest of the day is spent exploring this architectural marvel.
Full day ia at leisure. You will spend the whole day exploring Petra. Overnight stay at Petra.
This morning, make your way south to Wadi Rum, a beautiful desert area where dramatic sandstone mountains rise from the sandy desert floor. Overnight stay at Aqaba.
Explore to Jordan's port, famous for beautiful coral reefs. You will have free time to lounge on the beach, swim or go snorkelling. Overnight stay at Aqaba.
In the morning, travel back to Amman. Once you reach Amman checkin the hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore the city or for some last minute shopping.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel and make your way to the airport for your onward journey.
